Kia America has confirmed that the 2027 EV6 will reach U.S. dealerships with the same starting price as the current model. The manufacturer chose to keep the sticker price unchanged for the next model year, a move that stabilizes costs for buyers considering a switch to electric vehicles. This decision comes as the vehicle faces a sharp decline in market share.

The entry-level Light trim, which features standard range and rear-wheel drive, starts at $37,900. Adding the mandatory destination fee of $1,545 brings the total base price to $39,445 before taxes and dealer fees. The top-tier GT-Line with all-wheel drive reaches $53,000, or $54,545 with the destination charge included. Kia maintained the existing seven-trim lineup for the 2027 model year without introducing new equipment changes.

The 2026 model year saw minor updates, including the addition of a dual-voltage charging cable and Plug & Charge functionality. The 2027 lineup retains these features while keeping the same pricing structure. All versions are manufactured at the plant in West Point, Georgia. The suggested retail prices do not include taxes, licensing, or dealer markups.

Performance varies significantly across the battery options. The standard Light trim uses a 63 kWh battery and a 167 horsepower rear motor, offering an estimated range of 237 miles. Buyers seeking more distance can select the Long Range variants, which use an 84 kWh battery. The rear-wheel drive Long Range model reaches 319 miles of range. All-wheel drive Long Range versions produce 320 horsepower and offer up to 295 miles of range.

The GT-Line AWD trim reduces the estimated range to 270 miles. Charging speeds also depend on the battery capacity. The standard battery supports fast charging up to 180 kW, while the larger battery reaches 240 kW. Home charging with a 11 kW level 2 charger takes approximately 5 hours and 40 minutes for the small battery and 7 hours and 20 minutes for the large battery.

Upgrading from the standard Light to the Long Range Light costs an additional $3,300. This increase adds 82 miles of range and more power. Selecting all-wheel drive over rear-wheel drive adds $4,000 to the comparable trims. This configuration increases horsepower but decreases total range, a trade-off that may not suit drivers who primarily use the vehicle in urban settings.

The decision to freeze prices occurs during a difficult period for electric vehicle sales. According to data from CarBuzz, EV6 sales fell by 43% through September 2026. This drop follows another decline recorded in 2025. The stable pricing strategy aims to make the vehicle more competitive without altering the list price structure.

Kia has not announced specific dates for the 2027 EV6 to arrive at dealerships. The current 2026 models remain available for purchase. The 2027 lineup will offer the same seven configurations: Light RWD, Light Long Range RWD, Light Long Range AWD, Wind RWD, Wind AWD, GT-Line RWD, and GT-Line AWD.
