Apple TV will release six new titles in November, anchored by a high-stakes heist drama and a historical film. The streaming service, which costs $14.99 per month, adds these releases to its existing library of series and specials. The new content spans genres including sports comedy, documentary, and action drama.
The month begins on November 4 with the second season of "Stick." Created by Jason Keller, the show follows Owen Wilson as Pryce Cahill, a former professional golfer. Wilson also serves as an executive producer. The character, whose career ended two decades ago, now works at a sporting goods store in Indiana. He discovers a 17-year-old prodigy named Santi, played by Peter Dager, and stakes his future on the boy's talent.
On November 6, the docuseries "Awkwafina: The Unlikely Cook" premieres. The series follows Nora Lum, known professionally as Awkwafina. Although she comes from a family of restaurateurs, Lum cannot cook. The show documents her culinary road trip to master the craft and attempt to revive her family's Chinese restaurant.
November 13 marks the busiest day of the schedule with three releases. "12 12 12" is a heist drama that interweaves three timelines: the 12 months of planning, the 12 hours of the raid, and the 12 days following the event. Anthony Mackie stars as a disgraced FBI agent, while Jamie Dornan plays an American career criminal. The plot centers on a raid of a bank vault located deep beneath the streets of Zurich.
The same day brings the film "Being Heumann," directed by Siân Heder. Heder previously directed the Academy Award-winning "CODA." Set in 1977, the story follows Judy Heumann, played by Ruth Madeley. She leads a coalition of outsiders in a protest that becomes the longest occupation of a federal building in American history. Mark Ruffalo portrays the bureaucrat opposing the group. Also releasing on November 13 is "Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy," a family special where the beagle attempts to come off Santa's naughty list.
The November schedule concludes on November 25 with "Way of the Warrior Kid." The action-drama is based on a bestselling novel by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink. Chris Pratt plays Jake, a decorated Navy SEAL and uncle to Marc, played by Jude Hill. Jake arrives to recover from an injury and creates a program called "Operation Warrior Kid" to teach the bullied middle schooler about courage. Linda Cardellini appears as Marc's mother. McG directs the film from a screenplay by Will Staples.
Existing series will continue releasing episodes throughout the month. "Brothers," starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, and the British comedy "Small Prophets" run through November 4. The docuseries "Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars" airs through November 6. The German dark comedy "Where's Wanda?" continues until December 9, and the Liev Schreiber thriller "Nocturne" runs through December 25.
