Tel Aviv Police Investigate Suspected Murder-Suicide Involving Two Brothers

Two men were pronounced dead at 9:32 a.m. on Monday after being found with gunshot wounds on Moshe Dayan Road in Tel Aviv. The victims, identified as brothers, were located near a senior citizens' center and a bank branch entrance.

Police investigators from the South Tel Aviv station are treating the incident as a suspected murder-suicide. Initial findings suggest the younger man, who is in his 50s, shot his older brother, who is in his 70s, before turning the weapon on himself. A handgun was recovered from the scene.

Magen David Adom emergency medics arrived at the location after receiving a call through its 101 center in the Dan region. The crews found both men unconscious on the street with no pulse and no breathing. Meir Grossman, an emergency medical technician with the MDA motorcycle unit, stated that the men had penetrating wounds and that the team was forced to pronounce their deaths on the spot.

Residents in the vicinity reported hearing the initial gunfire shortly after the incident began. One nearby woman told Walla that the sound caused her to fear a terror attack. She described locking her windows and waiting for silence before seeing the ambulances arrive.

The woman said she ran downstairs to investigate and found the two men lying on the sidewalk. She described the sight as terrifying and noted that her body was still shaking from the shock of finding the victims early in the morning.

Police opened a formal investigation to determine the exact sequence of events following the report to their 100 emergency hotline. The inquiry remained active at the time of the report, with officers working to establish the details of the shooting.
