Fi slashes Ultra dog tracker price to $209.30

Fi has cut the price of its satellite-connected pet trackers by 30 percent through October 25. Shoppers can claim the discount by entering the code SCARY at checkout. The promotion applies to several models, including the Fi Ultra GPS.

After the reduction, the Fi Ultra costs $209.30. This price point matches the device's original launch cost. The tracker is built for durability, carrying an IP68 rating that makes it fully waterproof, even in saltwater. Battery life lasts up to five days, though the duration depends on the animal's activity level.

The device attaches to a collar or harness. It uses a combination of LTE, GPS, and Starlink satellite signals to locate a pet, even in areas without cellular service. Fi states it is the first dog tracker to merge T-Satellite, Starlink, GPS, and LTE technologies. The unit can also play sounds and vibrate to alert a dog.

The Verge tested the tracker in a remote area of South Carolina earlier this year. The team found the tracking to be precise. However, the update interval of two to three minutes could lag for fast-moving dogs. Battery life in Lost Mode dropped to barely two days. The device is also relatively large, making it a better fit for larger dogs.

An active subscription is required for tracking features. Fi offers discounts on the first term. Plans are available for six months, one year, or two years. A one-year plan costs $99 for the initial year and $189 for each subsequent year. These plans work only in the United States and do not include satellite coverage in Alaska.

The discount is part of a larger set of deals available on Amazon. The retailer also lists a physical copy of Kirby Air Riders for the Nintendo Switch 2 at $48.99, down from $69.99. A JLab JBuds Talk USB-C microphone is priced at $24.99, a drop from its usual range of $50 to $100. Lego's Star Wars Grogu set, which contains 1,200 pieces, is listed at $103.99, $26 below its standard price.
