Forty-eight-year-old Vanessa Trump declared herself cancer-free on Friday after receiving clear results from recent medical tests. The former wife of Donald Trump Jr. shared the update in a short video posted to the Instagram account of her eldest daughter, Kai. In the clip, Trump stated that her results came back clear, marking the end of her battle with breast cancer. She has five children with Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump.

Kai Trump, 19, included a caption with the video noting that it serves as a preview for a longer feature scheduled for release on Saturday. The upcoming YouTube video will focus on breast cancer awareness and prevention strategies. Kai explained that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a period dedicated to educating the public on early detection and supporting those affected by the disease. She noted that she and her mother sat down with Dr. Nicole Saphier to discuss their experiences and learn more about preventive measures.

The Instagram post quickly garnered over 20,000 likes and hundreds of comments. Many users offered words of support and good wishes in the comment section. American singer and media personality Mary Millben was among those who responded to the announcement. The engagement reflects the continued public interest in the health updates of high-profile figures during the annual awareness month.

Trump initially received her breast cancer diagnosis in April. She made the condition public in May, revealing that she had already undergone surgery. At that time, she stated she was collaborating with her medical team to develop a treatment plan. The announcement came two years after she separated from Trump Jr. in 2018. Last year, she announced that she had begun dating professional golfer Tiger Woods.

The American Cancer Society reports that the average risk for a woman in the US developing breast cancer is approximately 13%, or 1 in 8. The organization also indicates that breast cancer accounts for 30% of all new female cancers diagnosed each year. These statistics provide context for the prevalence of the disease among women in the country.

Medical experts note that surgery cures most cases of breast cancer. When some disease remains after surgery, treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and endocrine therapy can reduce the long-term risk of recurrence. The field continues to advance with the development of targeted therapies for early-stage disease. New types of hormonal therapy and more precise radiotherapy methods are also becoming available to patients.
